Service Depot crew cuts the ribbon at business launching
The first Service Depot team to be launched out of the gate is the Logan Appliance Repair team. This group of local talent will work to develop and prove the concept upon which the business model is based.
This unique business model is based upon cooperation using some of the most technologically advanced repair work around. Service is done from a centralized database in real time. A system dubbed as Double Up Diagnosis insures correct diagnosis along with being a quality control measure. technicians are equipped with laptops and a mobile network that allows video conferencing with a lead technician in the office. Bobby Jensen, Chair of the Board, believes that this is a great way for technicians to avoid mistakes and work off of each other’s knowledge.
Customer care and service is important to this team. Technicians arrive in a sleek fuel efficient service truck loaded with parts. They arrive clean and spiffy and use measures to make sure that they keep your home or business that way. A follow up with clients and feedback form help to listen to customers’ needs and evaluate their experience with The Service Depot. This feedback also helps to build a measurement for individual technicians, allowing for them to compete for the honor of being the highest ranked on the “stats board” by their customers.
The Service Depot extends from southern Idaho to along the Wasatch Front. With the virtual system, technicians can work from anywhere. The cooperative relationships with manufacturers and competitors provides a win-win situation for all.
It will be fun to watch this new company spread its wings and talents, growing to be the mother-brand for hundreds of teams across the nation that work in a broad range of service industry fields, working with the same level of fantastic customer service. You’ll want to use this team that practices the art of repair.

Advent Creative named one of the Top 25 Advertising Agencies in Utah
LOGAN, Utah — Utah Business Magazine released its list of the top 25 advertising agencies in Utah on Monday and Advent Creative, a local firm, earned a spot with over $4.8 million in capitalized billings in 2008.
Advent Creative beat out several Salt Lake City firms to take the number 20 spot. The only other top agencies that weren’t from the Salt Lake metropolitan area were two firms from Park City and St. George, numbers 24 and 25 respectively. The honor reinforces Advent Creative’s goal to provide world-class design, web, video and branding work from Cache Valley.
Wade Olsen, Advent Creative CEO, said he’s excited about making the list and feels that it reflects well on Logan as a whole.
“We feel like this is representative of the kind of positive economic growth we’re seeing in the valley. We’re at the point now that businesses in Cache Valley can get world-class design and advertising expertise without having to go to Salt Lake,” Olsen said. “We’re very proud to be a part of that.”
Advent Creative recently merged with Digital Slant to be the leading brand communications firm in the Logan area. It’s made up of four departments: Advent Web, Advent Video, Advent Design, and Advent Branding. This unique structure has helped Advent Creative adapt and excel during challenging economic times.
