The Deal Forum – Life Sciences Edition

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

Having trouble raising money for your Life Science deal?
Submissions due by October 4th!

This Deal Forum features more companies and expanded networking at Utah’s number one venue, The Country Club. This may be just the ticket to learn the venture process and meet members of the local angel and regional venture community. If your company is early stage and doing therapeutic or diagnostic drugs or devices, healthcare IT or anything life science you should attend.

This Deal Forum will be held in conjunction with the Utah Life Science Symposium. Four local life science entrepreneurs seeking capital will rehearse their pitch with local and regional angel investors and venture capitalists. In addition, there will be special guests from the Utah Life Science Symposium
that represent industry and regional venture investment.

This Deal Forum will be held on Tuesday, November 9th from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.at the Salt Lake Country Club, followed by a special reception from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

As an entrepreneur, The Deal Forum Process will prepare you to more effectively present yourself to investors. Through this experience you will:
• Better understand how to make a positive first impression to the angel community
• Discover what makes your deal attractive and/or unattractive to investors
• Increase your relevant networking opportunities
• Experience candid, real-world feedback following the presentations
• Receive a compressed world-class education at a fraction of the cost
• Accelerate your quest for capital
Come hear four (4) emerging companies challenge the local and national venture/angel community, then network and socialize with fellow entrepreneurs and other members of the regional venture community.

Unlike other Deal Forums, this event will feature more companies and an expanded networking session with guests of the Life Science Symposium.

Work Signage on Your Personal Vehicle –Are You Covered?

If you’re involved in a fender bender, an all too frequent occurrence, or worse yet, a major accident with injuries or death, you’re probably not covered if you have only personal coverage on your vehicle. You could be set back considerably or even financially ruined in the event of an accident. Check with your insurance provider to make sure you can cover the losses. Ask for a commercial policy with limited personal use. It will cost you a little more for the premiums, but will provide you with security.
